Postal stamp on ANR released

Postal department has released a five rupees postal stamp on legendary actor and Padma Vibhushan late Akkineni Nageswara Rao who passed away recently. Former student of ANR
School in Gudivada of Krishna district and Justice Devu Narshimha Rao has taken interest in releasing the stamp under the scheme my stamp.

Sekhar Kammula Speaks on 'Anamika'

Known as a slow film maker who spends lot of time in scripting and other pre production works, Sekhar Kammula is also familiar for perfect and professional approach towards any subject given. Taking a big contrast from his kind of stories and making, Kammula is presently giving the final
touch ups to ‘ anamika,’ a remake to Bollywood super hit film ‘Kahaani’ starring Vidya Balan in central character. ‘ anamika’ has Nayanathara
reprising the Vidya’s pregnant character. According to the inner sources, Sekhar Kammula and producers are planning for the release of movie on February 28 both in Telugu and Tamil versions. Trailer of  anamika was launched a while ago by Sekhar who also promised that many changes are made to south version relative
to Hindi version. Though basic theme remains the same, it’s the strong nativity factor which worked
wonders for ‘Kahaani’ and the Hyderabad backdrop also looked apt in the trailer. The movie is co-produced by Endemol India, Logline Productions and Select Media Holdings. Wish that, Sekhar will as usual give his best shot at

MLA Chandra Rao and venu madhav expressed the wish to contest for next Assembly elections on behalf of TDP. Sources also say, Naidu reacted positively about allotting Huzur Nagar
Assembly for venu madhav .
After completing the meet with Naidu, from there on venu madhav left to TRS party office to meet T Harish Rao and Etela Rajender. Firstly, Harish

Race Guram to release on 4th April

Stylish Hero Allu Arjun’s forthcoming movie ‘Race Gurram’ directed by Surender Reddy is going to release on April 4th 2014. The movie which is supposed to release in February has been postponed due to lot of work pending. Indian Government has announced the Padma Awards (three categories — Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri) for the year 2014 Today. As many as 126 prominent personalities will be honoured with Padma Awards

Fan died with heart stroke by hearing ANR death news

Not only the film fraternity total Telugu land has mourned over death of legendary actor ANR.ANR’s death has thrown all his fans into deep grief and many of them were unable to
digest the news.According to reports, a 55-year-old fan of ANR died of heart attack in Medak district while watching his dead body on TV channels

Ramchandrapuram, Medak district is a die hard fan of ANR and he was unable to take the news of the actor's death, died of heart attack Rambabu collapsed immediately after hearing the
news of ANR's death on television at 11 am. He was rushed to a local hospital, where he was declared brought dead. Talking to media His son
in law Baskhar said that his father in law, who was a small businessman, died due to shock.

Bollywood Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan is injured while shooting. He got
minor injures, while shooting for his upcoming movie ‘Happy New Year’. Shah Rukh was rushed to Nanavati Hospital for preliminary check-up.
Doctors said “They are minor injuries only. He will get well soon and there is no need to worry”.

ANR's last rites at 5 PM in Annapurna studios

The last rites of legendary actor and Padma Bhushan Akkineni Nageswara Rao who expired yesterday morning will be performed around 5 PM
at his Annapurna Studios today. His body will be kept at Film Chambers so that film personalities can pay their last homage for the great actor. The
body will taken in a procession from the Film Chambers via NTR trust and TRS Bhavan to Annapurna studios. The state Government has decided to give state honor to the actor on his
funeral for his great services to the Telugu film industry. Earlier there were speculations that his last rites will be performed at Necklace road however it is now decided his final rites and
Samadhi would in Annapurna Studios. Film personalities from Bollywood, Kollywood, and other industries are going to attend the last rites.

The state Government is ready to construct Akkineni Ghat at Necklace in Hyderabad. Speaking to media persons Minister Geetha Reddy after
offering tributes to legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao at Annapurna studios who died today early morning, she said that on behalf of state Government she pays rich tributes to the great actor. ANR services to the Tollywood industry cannot be forgotten. He encouraged each
and every person in the film industry and also done social services for the poor and needy. She further said that she would speak to Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy for arranging Akkineni Ghat and also offer services for his last

Legendary Telugu actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao dies at 91

Legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao (20th September, 1923 - 22nd January, 2014) breathed his last in the early hours of Wednesday in Hyderabad. The 90-year-old was diagnosed with Cancer few months ago.

Akkineni had an acting career spanning 75 years. He played the lead roles in nearly 300-odd films. His performances in films like Devadasu, Missamma, Mayabazar, Prem Nagar and Gundamma Katha were appreciated by the Telugus even Today.

In fact, ANR was instrumental in shifting Telugu Film Industry from Madras to Hyderabad. Later, he established Annapurna Studios with the good intention to pay it back to the Industry.

ANR was honoured with Dada Saheb Phalke Award, Padma Vibhushan and Padma Shri by the Government of India for his services to the Film Industry.

Prabhas to tie knot in 2015 !

Young Rebel Star Prabhas one of eligible bachelor actor of Tollywood will only enter in to wed-lock in 2015.
Close Sources of Rebel Star confirmed that Prabhas will get married after wrapping up big budget period drama Baahubali. On the other hand Krishnam Raju is in plans to direct a film titled

We have seen Dhoom 3 breaking the industry record created by Chennai Express within four months gap. When Attarintiki Daredi has rewritten
history by surpassing Magadheera, many predicted that this record will not stay for long. They believed that one of the Pongal movies will beat Attarintiki Daredi all time record.However, it is now very clear that Attarintiki
Daredi record will stay untouched at least until the next big release. Pongal releases failed to break the openings record set by Pawan Kalyan let alone full run records. Yevadu managed to
grab the second spot in opening week records. Nenokkadine was the film that many have put their bets on. But unfortunately this film ended up
as a commercial disaster.It would be interesting to see who will break the
record of AD and how long will this record stay on top. It took more than four years to break Magadheera records. Attarintiki Daredi may not
enjoy the top spot for that long, but as of now the number one spot is still with Pawan Kalyan.

Kamasutra 3D was initially offered to Kareena Kapoor, claims filmmaker!

According to the film director Rupesh Paul, who has been in news for bringing out controversial subject- Kamasutra in 3D format to the big screen, the film was initially offered to Bollywood
diva Kareena Kapoor Khan. But she refused to take the offer cited its pornographic content and it was dropped in Sherlyn Chopra’s kitty.
“The director had approached Kareena with the script. Though she loved the script, she turned down the offer due to excessive nudity,” said the report. Well, we aren’t sure whether Rupesh actually made his way to offer this kind of film to such a big actress, who belongs to an esteemed family, or this is only a publicity stunt to grab more eyeballs to his already controversial movie.
It has also been hogging limelight cited the differences between Rupesh and Sherlyn. He sued a legal notice of Rs 5 crore against Sherlyn Chopra for defaming him and his movie publicly
using abusive terms and foul languages on the social network site. Report said, “The director sought the legal notice of offenses against the actress for offenses such as abrupt attention, austere adherence and offense of criminal
intimidation with her malafide intention of somehow tarnishing and defiling Rupesh Paul's and Kamasutra 3D's and its crews reputation within the film community and among the general
public while posting a quantity of filthy, mucky, ill mannered and indecent comments and abusive signs.”
